St. Norbert College's Barney Johnson admitted as a lighting designer to United Scenic Artists

De Pere: St. Norbert College's Director of Theatre Facilities Barney Johnson has been admitted as Lighting Designer to United Scenic Artists, the professional organization of designers in theatre, opera, television and motion pictures. This union membership certifies Johnson as a professional lighting designer

It will be useful in freelancing design work and will be helpful in training students in the art of lighting design, Johnson said.

Johnson traveled to Chicago to take his exam. It consisted of a portfolio review, which he presented and defended to three United Scenic Artists Lighting Designers.
