De Pere: St. Norbert College's Young Artist Workshop, or YAW, is a summer program for children and young adults, ages 3 to 21, with disabilities. YAW helps students build their self-esteem through a greater appreciation and direct participation in the visual and performing arts. Three weeks are offered to attend YAW; Tuesday July 6-Friday July 9; Monday July 12-Thursday July 15; and Monday July 19-Thursday July 22. The students interact at either St. Norbert College from 9:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or Syble Hopp School, De Pere, from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Children attend daily sessions with a variety of adaptive arts specialists to help the children achieve and extend their potential and self-esteem. They will experience adaptive visual arts, adaptive music specialists, adaptive dance and movement, and computer activities. July 2004 celebrates the 20th anniversary for Young Artist Workshops, with 120 students attending.
