45th annual forum best poster award at St. Norbert College

DE PERE: Jack Williamsen, data analyst/retention coordinator, and Bob Rutter, associate vice president for institutional effectiveness, were awarded the 45th Annual Forum Best Poster Award by the Association for Institutional Research (AIR).

Williamsen and Rutter made a poster presentation on May 29 and 30 at the AIR Annual Forum in San Diego, which was attended by 7,000 institutional researchers. The presentation was on "Assessing Broad Affective Student Outcomes: Using Surveys and Focus Groups to Define and Understand the Ineffable." The assessment looks at a challenging task, like how an institution contributes to student personal development, and documents an innovative approach.

The poster, designed by Kaylyn Pankratz '06, was chosen from 71 entries.
