St. Norbert College student wins research award

De Pere: St. Norbert College student Ryan Johnson of Bonduel received the John C. Johnson Award for excellence in student research at the Northcentral Region District Convention of Beta Beta Beta Biology Honor Society April 24 at UW-Whitewater.

Johnson, a sophomore biology major, gave a presentation on the topic of antibiotic resistance of enterococcus faecalis bacteria found on conventional bovine dairy farms. He received $750 to cover travel expenses to Colorado May 26-30, where he will compete with students from around the United States.
