From St. Norbert College, March 2, 2016
by Erich Wegenke, erich.wegenke@snc.edu, 920-403-3089

Susan Clayton, Whitmore-Williams Professor of psychology at the College of Wooster in Ohio, will present a lecture titled "Psychology and Global Climate Change" on Wednesday, March 16, as part of the Great Decisions lecture series at St. Norbert College. The lecture will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Fort Howard Theater of the F. K. Bemis International Center on the college campus. Clayton will discuss the ways that psychological research can help people understand the causes and impacts of climate change, and encourage them to respond to environmental challenges.

Clayton's lecture is the fifth installment in the 2016 Great Decisions series, an annual nationwide program meant to bring together local, regional and national experts to discuss various issues of international interest. The eight-part lecture series is presented on Wednesdays starting in February and running through April. St. Norbert College is one of only two institutions of higher learning in Wisconsin that offers the entire series. Great Decisions is sponsored by the St. Norbert College Center for International Education.

Admission to the lecture is $5 for community members; cash and checks are accepted at the door. Alternatively, those interested in attending the entire lecture series can purchase a $60 subscription, which includes tickets to all of the lectures as well as the Great Decisions 2016 Briefing Book. There is no charge to attend the lectures for students, faculty and staff from any educational institution who present an ID upon entry.
