Senior Marketing Strategist
John Watters joined St. Norbert College in 2010. As senior marketing strategist, he is responsible for messaging for non-enrollment marketing materials produced at the college, in both print and electronic media.
John advises internal clients on marketing strategy and communication planning, helps develop identity systems for college divisions and departments, and is a contributor to the college’s website and print publications. He also serves as editor, copy editor and proofreader on a by-project basis. As a project manager, John is the department’s primary liaison with the Office of College Advancement.
Prior to joining the communications team, John spent more than twenty years at publishing companies, first as a copywriter and later as creative director, and served as a creative consultant and writer for firms ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.
He resides in Appleton with his wife, Alison, and a large and vacuous Bernese mountain dog named Bunsen.
