Triduum Retreat |
The mystery of the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus stands at the center of our Catholic Christian faith. In the liturgies of the Triduum we make memory of these sacred events and
experience the power of this mystery. During our time of retreat we will have the chance to
personally enter into the mystery of the dying and rising of Christ and what it means for our own
sufferings, dyings and risings.
Fr. Joseph Serano, O. Praem., a Philadelphia native, studied at St. Norbert College, Heythrop Athenaeum
in Oxford, England, the University of Pennsylvania along with a semester of Scripture study
in Jerusalem. He received his doctorate of sacred theology from Catholic University and began
teaching at the college level. He has served as community treasurer and currently is the director of
Daylesford Abbey’s Institute for Religion and Culture.

Summer Preached Retreat - The Soul’s Dwelling Place with Fr. Fran Dorff, O. Praem. |
Come apart and rest awhile with me was the invitation Christ issued to his apostles when they were
in need of renewal and courage. In this day and age, our souls also need time to mend and heal
and find renewal and direction. Let your soul be renewed as Fr. Fran Dorff leads us in a meditative
writing retreat which will benefit the body and mind as well as the soul.
Fr. Fran Dorff, O. Praem. is a Norbertine priest, theologian, spiritual director and writer. He is a former
professor of theology and philosophy and for the past 25 years has been involved in the ministry
of spiritual direction, retreats, renewals and writing. He is the founder of the Center for Life Process
Awareness and is a specialist in meditative writing. Fr. Dorff resides with the Norbertine community in
Albuquerque, N.M.

A retreat for your church choir can be a powerful tool for revitalizing its members and for focusing
the vision of their music ministry. St. Norbert Abbey liturgists along with the professional staff of the
Norbertine Center for Spirituality would like to help you design a retreat to satisfy the needs of your

Parish Team and School Staff Development Retreat |
Participants will learn how to work more effectively together, understand work as vocation and embrace
their gifts and differences. The Strengths Deployment Inventory, a proven, memorable tool for
improving team effectiveness is also available for an additional fee. This retreat can be tailored to
any particular needs of the parish or school staff.

Parish Faith Formation Retreat: |
A New Beginning, A New Journey, A Fuller Way, A Happier Way |
Experience a three or four day retreat experience for the entire parish (open to all denominations)
and staff which includes Fr. Conrad preaching at all weekend liturgies. The presentations include:
appreciating self through humor, holiness, wholeness, happiness and forgiveness, how to handle
hurt, loss, anger, change and illness, how to find my purpose by thinking not only of myself, but of
others and God.

Pre-registration is appreciated for all programs.
Anyone who wishes to participate in our programs should be able to do so.
The Norbertine Center will accept a donation within your means should you be unable to pay the
suggested fee.
Prior to all Saturday morning programs, participants are invited to attend 8:30 am liturgy followed
by coffee and rolls.
