Professional profile
Fr. Sal, a Norbertine priest, is a 1963 graduate of St. Norbert College with a B.A. Degree in Philosophy. He also has a M.A. in Theology from Marquette University. After ordination and completion of graduate studies, Fr. Sal was assigned to Archmere Academy, a Norbertine, private, co-ed, college-prep high school in Claymont, Delaware.
After twenty years of high school teaching, he was assigned to the Norbertine Generalate in Rome. This was followed by a sabbatical to Leuven University. He was appointed Director of Liturgy at Daylesford Abbey (Norbertine Abbey in Paoli, Pa.) and then Master of Professed residing in Washington, D.C.
From 1991-2000, Fr. Sal was the Associate Pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish in Baltimore, Md. In 2000, Fr. Sal returned to De Pere as the Associate Pastor of the St. Norbert College Parish and works in Campus Ministry, living at St. Norbert Abbey.
In addition to his sacramental ministry, he is involved in the RCIA program and the training of Liturgical Ministers. In Campus Ministry he works with a student intern on the Freshmen Retreat, the Taste of SNC, the Men’s Retreat, the Spring Retreat and Catholic Q and A. He also participates in the Men’s Service Trip to Philadelphia to work at a Men’s Shelter. |
