Virtual box office debuts
Theatre lovers, music patrons and hockey fans alike can now buy tickets 24/7 for their favorite St. Norbert College events. Tickets.snc.edu has joined the traditional box office operations of the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts to make buying tickets a cinch, 365 days a year.
Traffic reports from the current ticket information web site show that visitors access the site most often around 5:00 a.m. — well outside the traditional 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. box office hours. A good number of those visitors are ready to buy tickets at that point and, with tickets.snc.edu, web site visitors will be able to purchase their tickets whenever, from wherever.
Just like commercial ticketing web sites such as StubHub or Ticketmaster, tickets.snc.edu will work as a 24-hour virtual teller. According to Paul Mashl (Theatre), who conceived the program, it’s all about accessibility — whenever people are thinking about buying tickets, they can go right ahead and do so.
You won’t find flashing advertisements or unnecessary content on tickets.snc.edu. By design, Mashl and his team have simplified the site to make the user experience as straightforward and as easy to use as possible. Tickets.snc.edu allows patrons to view event information and purchase tickets for any of the scheduled events — theatre, concerts or hockey games, all in one transaction. Repeat customers won’t have to re-enter all their information each time they shop for tickets because the site will recognize them once they log in to the secure server.
Tickets.snc.edu exceeds the functionality of most other ticketing web sites. The site allows patrons to view a map of the venue, see which seats are occupied and then select the actual seats they will be sitting in. “Very few operations allow you to pick your exact seats, often times you can choose from a few options,” says Mashl.
To buy your tickets for this fall’s events, visit tickets.snc.edu on the web. And, of course, patrons still have the option of stopping by the box office (it’s in the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts) or contacting box office staff at (920) 403-3950 or (800) SNC-BOXX.
