Reunion/Homecoming—a great time to connect!
There's still time to register for Reunion Weekend, Oct. 13-15. A full slate of activities is planned for alumni of all ages.
The festivities begin Friday night with welcome receptions and the opportunity to watch current students perform their skits in the Walter Theatre.
Bring your running shoes for the 5K "Knights on the Run" Saturday morning. Registration starts at 9:15 a.m. in front of the Campus Center. The $10 entry fee includes a souvenir shirt, and prizes will be awarded.
Tailgate party before the game
The St. Norbert College football team takes on Carroll College at 1:30 p.m. at Minahan Stadium. To help get you into the spirit, a tailgate party for faculty, staff, alumni and students begins at 11 a.m. For those celebrating special class years ('06, '01, '96, '81, '66 and '56), your reunion registration includes tickets to the big game.
The party is co-sponsored by the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations and the Office of Mission and Heritage, as part of the Heritage Days celebration. Food and "buck" beverages will be served on site, with live music provided by the popular local band Big Mouth and the Power Tool Horns.
You also won't want to miss all the other local talent on display during the traditional airband competition, which begins at 6 p.m. in the Schuldes Sports Center.
The Rev. James Baraniak, O.Praem., '88 will preside over a special alumni Mass at 10 a.m. Sunday in Old St. Joseph Church. A historical walking tour of the campus begins outside the church at 11:30 a.m., led by the Rev. Jay Fostner, O.Praem., '84, vice president for mission and heritage.
Before you head home, be sure to enjoy brunch in the caf, served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tell the cashier you're an alum, and you'll receive a discount!
