A letter from Todd Danen, director of alumni and parent relations
Dear Alumni and Friends,
Homecoming/Reunion will be here soon – Oct. 23-25. Remember back in the day … hilarious skits, air bands, the snake dance through Buck’s, Homecoming queens and uglies – maybe it is time to reunite!
St. Norbert’s Homecoming is a great time to connect with friends and the college. Come back home to campus! Activities begin on Thursday night with the Alumni Awards Dinner and conclude on Sunday with Mass in Old St. Joe’s and a breakfast buffet in the cafeteria. To learn more about this weekend designed with you in mind, please visit the reunion web site.
I’m recommending watching the Homecoming parade on Saturday morning. The parade will start at 10:30 a.m. in front of Old St. Joe’s and travel on Reid Street through campus, turn left on Third Street and turn right on Marsh Street.
Please stop by the alumni house or Mary Minahan McCormick Hall and get great seats to watch this tradition roll by. We’ll be looking out for you.
A Family Parade Party begins at 10 a.m. on the alumni house front lawn. Kids will enjoy inflatables, cookies, hot chocolate and snacks; and there will be plenty of coffee for their parents. Since everybody loves a parade, this will be a good spot for those alumni, too, who don’t have kids on board Saturday morning. There’s plenty of room on the college lawns that border Third Street, and morning refreshments will be available.
A continental breakfast, beginning at 9:30 a.m., awaits those alumni interested in relaxing and watching the parade from the patio of MMM. Share stories of past Homecomings with members of the Class of 1959 who will be celebrating their induction into the Golden Knights society.
Registration is required for the continental breakfast.
You’re always part of the St. Norbert College alumni community. Join us for Homecoming/Reunion 2009. Gather the friends that you’ll be seeing on Friday night and visit the campus on Saturday morning to watch the parade and reunite!
