Family Weekend 2007
Caitlin Zach ’09, Alumni and Parent Relations Intern

This fall, the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations, along with the Residence Hall Association (RHA) and Entertainment 2Knight (E2K), are sponsoring Family Weekend 2007. Family Weekend is held from Friday, Sept. 28 to Sunday, Sept. 30 on the St. Norbert College campus.

Family Weekend is a great opportunity to reconnect with your student after the first month of the academic year. For most families, this is the first time they will see their student after move-in day. We have planned activities that allow you to spend time with your student while enjoying the beautiful St. Norbert campus.

The weekend begins Friday night with a chili dinner in the Ray Van Den Heuvel Family Campus Center, followed by a performance at ComedyCity.

Saturday morning activities include an historic walking tour of campus, academic sessions and lunch with student entertainment. In the afternoon, enjoy a ride down the picturesque Fox River on the Foxy Lady sightseeing tour, or cheer on the Green Knights in their football game against Knox College. Then, experience a special weekend mass with your student in Old St. Joe’s Church. Later in the evening, Christopher Carter, a mentalist, entertains in the Campus Center and the St. Norbert College music department presents a concert featuring instrumental and vocal ensembles in the Walter Theatre.

Sunday’s activities include the Parent PRIDE Breakfast, a tour of the St. Norbert Abbey in East De Pere, a family brunch in the Sensenbrenner Memorial Union, and the Tail of the Fox crew regatta on the docks behind the Campus Center.

Family Weekend is a great time to enjoy the St. Norbert College experience with your student.
