St. Norbert Vocabulary for Parents
Parents, when your student calls home, it may seem like he/she is speaking a totally different language. You may find yourself asking him/her to slow down and explain all the abbreviations and acronyms.
Well, we’re here to help you conquer St. Norbert lingo, a few words at a time!
LSI ~ Leadership Service and Involvement: LSI is a division of student life that provides leadership and service opportunities for students. LSI oversees the alternate break trips, student leadership workshops, service fellowship programs through AmeriCorps, Make a Difference Day and the Emerging Leaders program. In the fall, LSI organizes the Involvement Fair, which showcases student organizations, departments and community groups. E2K ~ Entertainment 2Knight: E2K is the programming board of the Campus Center, which plans student activities throughout the year. Programs include weekend movies, hypnotists, musicians, comedy and other special events. All events are free to students and the community, and take place on the first floor Campus Center lounge. WAGS minor ~ Women and Gender Studies minor: Women and Gender Studies is an interdisciplinary minor that focuses on gender analysis in theology, religion, history and literature. The WAGS minor has been in existence at St. Norbert College for two years, now. To complete a WAGS minor, students must pass six courses—three required classes and three electives.
