Family Weekend 2008
The Office of Alumni and Parent Relations, along with the Residence Hall Association (RHA) and Entertainment 2Knight (E2K), are sponsoring Family Weekend 2008 from Friday, Sept. 26, through Sunday, Sept. 28.
Family Weekend is a great opportunity to reconnect with your student after the first month of the academic year. For most families, this is the first time they will see their student since move-in day. The weekend features activities that will allow you to spend time with your student while enjoying the beautiful St. Norbert campus.
The weekend begins Friday night with a chili dinner in the Ray Van Den Heuvel Family Campus Center, followed by a Physics Under Pressure presentation in the evening.
Saturday morning activities include a walking tour of our historic campus, academic sessions and lunch with President Kunkel. In the afternoon, cheer on the Green Knight football team in its game against Lake Forest College or take a trip down the Fox River, followed by a special Mass at Old St. Joseph’s Church. Later in the evening, Christopher Carter, a mentalist, will entertain in the Campus Center, and the St. Norbert College music department will present a concert featuring instrumental and vocal ensembles in the Walter Theatre.
Sunday’s activities include the Parent PRIDE Breakfast, a family brunch in the Sensenbrenner Memorial Union, and the Tail of the Fox crew regatta on the docks behind the Campus Center.
Family Weekend is a great time to enjoy the St. Norbert College experience with your student and get together.
