Coordinator of Religious Education
Eileen Gale recently joined the staff at St. Norbert College Parish on May 1, 2012, the feast day of St. Joseph the Worker. Eileen comes to St. Norbert College with experience as a Catholic school principal and as a Catholic school teacher at Holy Trinity Parish in Casco. She most notably served on Bishop David Ricken's initiative "rural Catholic School's" committee. While principal, Eileen was involved in student led liturgy, sacramental preparation and providing evangelization opportunities for the faith community with retreats and inspirational speakers. She was also a volunteer catechist for the high school religious education program at the parish.
Eileen, devoted to the Catholic faith, enjoys attending spiritual retreats, and has gone on pilgrimage to Medjegorje in Coatia. She is currently in formation to become a Norbertine associate at St. Norbert Abbey. As coordinator of religious education, Eileen will be responsible for the Generations of Faith program, youth ministry, vacation bible school and other forms of evangelization within the parish. She will be working closely with college catechists as they grow in their faith and desire to serve.
Her first role as wife to David and mother includes raising three sons; Steven, Eric and Brian. Both, Steven and Eric are alums of St. Norbert College while Brian is studying police science at NWTC. Recent highlights were seeing Steven, receive the sacrament of matrimony to Elizabeth Newgent at Old S. Joseph Church last summer and Eric graduate from St. Norbert College in May, 2012.
Eileen and her husband, Dave, love spending time with the family camping, canoeing, and fishing. She enjoys quilting, raising chickens, reading, and playing with dogs; Millie, Lucy and Ruby.
