Haunted by God: The Life of Dorothy Day
Haunted by God is a one-woman play about Dorothy Day, co-founder of the Catholic Worker movement. Hailed in Sojourners magazine as a “wonderfully uplifting theater experience” this dramatic portrait tells the story of the woman the New York Times eulogized as a “nonviolent social radical of luminous personality.”
Dorothy Day (1897-1980) was a powerful woman of immense conviction who found herself jailed many times when witnessing her beliefs, including women’s suffrage. In New York in 1933, she and a French-born itinerant philosopher Peter Maurin co-founded the Catholic Worker, a living movement that has been responsible for feeding and housing the homeless while maintaining a monthly, nationally-read newspaper. Today, there are over 100 Catholic Worker houses in the United States and around the world, including communities in Toronto and Oxford, England.
Lisa Wagner Carollo, the actress will be performing the show.

Women, War & Peace
Women, War & Peace is a bold new five-part PBS mini-series challenging the conventional wisdom that war and peace are men’s domain. A co-production of THIRTEEN and Fork Films, Women, War & Peace places women at the center of an urgent dialogue about conflict and security and reframes our understanding of modern warfare. Featuring narrators Matt Damon, Tilda Swinton, Geena Davis and Alfre Woodard, the series reveals how the post- Cold War proliferation of small arms has changed the landscape of war, with women becoming primary targets and suffering unprecedented casualties. Simultaneously, they are emerging as necessary partners in brokering lasting peace and as leaders in forging new international laws governing conflict.

Film Documentary on Argentina's Dirty War - Los Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo and the Search for Identity
Las Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo in Argentina is committed to finding their lost grandchildren, stolen, they believe, by the government of their country some 30 years ago. At least 10,000, and, some estimate, as many as 30,000 dissidents of the military dictatorship were kidnapped, tortured and killed during Argentina’s Dirty War (1976-1983). They became known as Los Desaparecidos—the disappeared. Some of the women were pregnant or were new mothers when they were captured, and the infants ended up in the homes of government officials and others sympathetic to the regime. Those new parents changed the babies’ names, birth dates and everything about them. Today, Las Abuelas has located more than 100 of the missing grandchildren, many of whom had no knowledge of their past nor of their true identities. Some 400 still remain.
