Professional profile
After completing doctoral studies, Sr. Sally Ann Brickner joined the faculty at St.Norbert College in 1970. Throughout her tenure on the faculty, she taught classes in education, served as the director of teacher education, chaired the division of social sciences and became the College’s first associate academic dean.
After serving from 1997-2001 on the leadership team of her religious community, the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross, she returned to the College as the director of the Peace and Justice Center. She also teaches courses in the Peace and Justice Minor.
Sr. Sally Ann’s travels have taken her to Canada, Nicaragua, Great Britain, Germany, France, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, the Peoples’ Republic of China, Japan, Haiti and most recently to Colombia where she worked with Christian Peacemaker Teams. Her trip to Nicaragua inspired her to raise funds for an educational program for rural teachers. The program began in the 1970s and continues to the present. |
