Phi Alpha Theta at St. Norbert College
Not only was the new chapter installed, but also three faculty members and nine student members were initiated into the society. The student members have all shown exceptional talent in the study of history, demonstrated in part by maintaining a grade point average in history of 3.75 or higher. The faculty inductees are all accomplished scholars and energetic teachers in their fields of expertise.
Why join?
As life-time members of Phi Alpha Theta, students can attend and participate in regional and national conferences, host events for visiting members from off-campus and compete for undergraduate paper prizes and scholarships to fund graduate study in history. Faculty members can compete for awards for the publication of books and ground-breaking manuscripts, and like students, can submit original research to Phi Alpha Theta's journal, The Historian, for publication.
