  • The American Catholic Philosophical Association - Since 1926, scholars and thinkers, mostly based in Canada and the United States, have forged a unique tradition and community known as the American Catholic Philosophical Association. Steeped in classical sources and cultivating the Catholic philosophical heritage, this tradition is known for creative engagement with major philosophers of every era and bold responses to the themes and issues of contemporary philosophy.
  • The American Philosophical Association - The American Philosophical Association was founded in 1900 to promote the exchange of ideas among philosophers, to encourage creative and scholarly activity in philosophy, to facilitate the professional work and teaching of philosophers and to represent philosophy as a discipline.
  • The American Philosophical Society - An eminent scholarly organization of international reputation, the American Philosophical Society promotes useful knowledge in the sciences and humanities through excellence in scholarly research, professional meetings, publications, library resources and community outreach. This country's first learned society, the APS has played an important role in American cultural and intellectual life for over 250 years.
  • The Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy - Non-profit organization that collects and makes available original articles about philosophy topics. The encyclopedia receives no funding, and operates through the volunteer work of the editors, authors and technical advisors. University of Tennessee at Martin.
  • Philosophy Pages - This site offers helpful information for students of the Western philosophical tradition. Topics include a dictionary of terms and names, timeline, discussion, study guide and links to other philosophy sites.
  • Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy - Established in 1967 as a non-profit organization aimed at advancing the development of the disciplines of Asian and comparative philosophy in the international academic arena, and bringing together Asian and Western philosophers, as well as other scholars interested in Asian and comparative philosophy, for a mutually beneficial exchange of ideas.
  • Society for the Advancement of American Philosophy (SAAP) - Exists to advance American philosophy by promoting interest and research in its history, encouraging original and creative work in its spirit, and providing forums for the exchange of information and ideas.
  • Society for Ancient Greek Philosophy - Founded in 1953 and based at Binghamton University, the society sponsors sessions with the annual meetings of the American Philosophical Association, as well as other philosophical presentations.
  • Society for Medieval and Renaissance Philosophy - Founded in December 1978 to foster research and teaching in the field, to organize scholarly meetings and conferences, to publish a newsletter and a monograph series and to cooperate with other learned societies in projects of common interest.
  • Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy - Designed so that each entry is maintained and kept up to date by an expert or group of experts in the field. All entries and substantive updates are refereed by the members of a distinguished editorial board before they are made public.
