Tim Bald is in his 3rd year as the St. Norbert athletics director. St. Norbert College's athletics department has captured seven conference championships in his two years in De Pere.
Bald, previously assistant athletics director for compliance at the University of Wisconsin, began his duties at St. Norbert College in July 2004. During his six-year stay in Madison, Bald went from being the only compliance officer in the athletic department to supervising a staff of three.
Bald, 48, was selected in May 2004 from a pool of about 30 applicants following a three-month national search to replace the retiring Don Maslinski. Bald's experience also includes 8 years as football program coordinator at Iowa State University and then spent nearly 4 years as the Cyclones' compliance coordinator.
A 1980 graduate of Loras College (Iowa) with a bachelor's degree in business administration/marketing, Bald earned a master's degree in sports management from Western Illinois University in 1985. Bald is married to Dana and has 3 sons: Samuel (10), Matthew (8) and Ryan (6). They reside in the town of Lawrence. |
