Professional profile
Dr. Takamasa Takahashi researched the interstellar medium, using the facilities at NASA-Ames Research Center in San Francisco. This theoretical research project involved the thermal balance of interstellar clouds illuminated by starlight. Currently he is working on the thermodynamics of planetary interiors involving tidal heating.
He has presented at a variety of conferences, including the American Astronomical Society, the Stockton Astronomical Society and the Wisconsin Association of Physics Teachers.
Before joining the St. Norbert College in 1984, Dr. Takahashi taught at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California and worked as a Research Scientist for NASA-Ames Research Center.
