Internships
All of our psychology majors (especially those planning to become social workers or to do graduate work in clinical psychology) are encouraged to get involved in at least one internship while at St. Norbert College. The College's Career Services program maintains a long list of such internships, many of which involve part-time salary or hourly payment.

When appropriate, students are encouraged to take the related course, Work-Study in Psychology (PSYC 494). This seminar course provides course credit for the internship experience and a forum for reflecting on what is being learned with others who are also involved in an internship.

25 percent of St. Norbert psychology majors complete an internship each year.

As interns, psychology students have worked:

  • At centers providing services to abused women and children
  • At private and public psychiatric hospitals
  • In the retail marketing department of a large food company
  • In the human resources office of a credit union.
New and interesting internship opportunities are being added regularly by the St. Norbert College Career Services department. Please contact Dr. Ray Zurawski if you would like to speak with a faculty member about your interest in an internship.
