In the 2008-09 school year, Rainbow Alliance presented or participated in over 25 events!

This is not a comprehensive list of all activities and opportunities we have been involved in, but it shows just how much a group of dedicated students, with the support of a community, are capable of preparing! Why not join and help us make this year even better ? Help out with these and other events and make your ideas happen!

All Rainbow Alliance events are open to all St. Norbert College students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.

September 9, 2008 - Involvement Fair at Campus Center Lawn/Gym
- Rainbow Alliance will have a booth at the fair, as well as an email list sign-up and photos from last year's activities!
October 10-11, 2008 - National Coming Out Day 2008
- Coming Out display in the Campus Center with rainbow crafts for you to show your support!
October 24, 2008 - LGBTQ Ally Training Session
November 1-2 2008 - LGBTQ Ally Mentor Workshop
- Join us for an two afternoons afternoon of intercultural competency and facilitation training, to prepare to present our LGBTQ Ally Training peer education program!
November 7, 2009 - Two of our LGBTQ Ally Mentors attended the Ally Conference at UWGB
November, 2009 - Transgender Day of Remembrance - Candlelight Vigil, film and discussion.
January 31, 2009 - Boxes and Walls LGBTQ Room (part of the iCamp Reunion Leadership Retreat)
February 2, 2009 - Attended a Transgender Q&A Panel at UWGB with panelists from the transgender group organized by Positive Voice
February 12, 2009 - LGBTQ Ally Training Session for area high school gay-straight alliances, in collaboration with Harmony Cafe - Green Bay West
February 27, 2009 - TransAction! Day - Gender Bender Masquerade cross-dressed dance, co-sponsored by the Peace and Justice Center as a part of their Week of Non-Violence.
March 30, 2009 - "Cake-in-a-Mug" involvement/recruitment reception
April 2009 - Week of Awareness/Day of Silence
- The annual Day of Silence observed nationally will be included in a week of Rainbow Alliance activities and events, promoting awareness of LGBTQ issues.
April 17-19, 2009 - Wisconsin Private Colleges Institute for Diversity Annual Conference - Two of our LGBTQ Ally Mentors and 2009-10 officers attended this conference, which will be held at SNC in 2010!
May 3, 2009 - LGBTQ Ally Training for 2009-10 Resident Assistants and REH Staff
All Year - LGBTQ Ally Training Programs will be going on - pay attention around campus and you'll learn plenty about them!
