The Green Bay Packers will move into St. Norbert College on Thursday, July 30 with camp starting on Friday, July 31. The Packers will move out of the dorms at St. Norbert College on Friday, August 21.

The college doesn't host any on-field activities, but it does serve as the team base for all living arrangements, transportation and meals, including continental breakfast, dinner and snack.

For a complete rundown of their practice schedule and more go to http://www.packerstrainingcamp.com/.

The Packers have held their summer training camp at St. Norbert College for 52 years, the longest such relationship between a pro football team and a college in the NFL.

--St. Norbert College Packers Training Camp History--
Then President of the Packers, Russ Bogda, and then head Coach Lyle Blackburn first approached St. Norbert College in the spring of 1957. At the time the Packers were headquartering at UW-Stevens Point. In the summer of 1958 Coach Scooter McClean and his staff brought the Packers to the St. Norbert campus Frank J. Sensenbrenner Residence Hall living quarters, to various classrooms for training sessions and to the dining facilities on the river bank hall now called Dennis M. Burke Hall.

Over the 52 years various halls have been used but the string of successive summers at St. Norbert College has NEVER been broken. Contractural agreements were completed with St. Norbert College by President Dominic Olejniczak, successor to Russ Bogda, who had retired due to illness. The first pre-season at St. Norbert College coincided with the first Packer schedule of games in the present Lambeau Field. In 1959, newly appointed head Coach Vincent Lombardi confirmed the summer camp location and formed a friendship with father Dennis Burke, O. Praem. Succeeding coaches and Packer Presidents over the years have found the facilities to their liking.

--About St. Norbert College--
St. Norbert College is a Catholic, Norbertine liberal arts college known for its academic excellence, focus on international awareness, and leadership and service opportunities. Founded in 1898 by Fr. Bernard Pennings, O.Praem., a Norbertine priest, St. Norbert College provides an education that is academically, personally and spiritually challenging. U.S. News & World Report's guide to "America's Best Colleges," ranks St. Norbert College among the top liberal arts colleges in the nation. The college has also been named to the Templeton Honor Roll for Character-Building Colleges and has been named one of "The Best in the Midwest" by Princeton Review magazine.

St. Norbert College is teaming up with the Green Bay Packers to co-sponsor a national conference on sport and society next spring, resulting from a first-of-its-kind partnership between an NFL team and an institution of higher education.

The academic conference will be titled "A Mirror of our Culture: Sport and Society in America." Sessions will be offered both on the St. Norbert College campus and at Lambeau Field.

"We look forward to working with St. Norbert College on this very unique conference," said Packers president/CEO Mark Murphy. "The college has been a great partner of the Packers for more than 50 years by hosting our players and coaches at training camp, and now we're excited to work with them in this new endeavor."

Experts from around the world will converge on northeast Wisconsin to present their papers. As well as the academic presentations, the May 26-28, 2010, conference will feature an exhibit area for publishers, a gallery exhibition and a film festival.

The event is the brainchild of Michael Marsden, dean of the college and academic vice president. Marsden says, "St. Norbert College, with one of the best Division III athletic programs in the country, is partnering with the Green Bay Packers, one of the most storied National Football League franchises in the country, to co-host a national conference on sport and society. It will bring together academics who study sport from many different disciplinary perspectives, with sports professionals."

For more information on the "Sport and Society" conference, contact Karen Cleereman, conference administrative coordinator, at sportandsociety@snc.edu or (920) 403-3777.
Church Hill Classics (CHC), a leading manufacturer in the collegiate diploma frame industry, has announced the five winners in their "Frame My Future" Scholarship Contest which were chosen from over 3,300 entries from across the country. One of the five scholarship winners is Sara Coursin of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, who submitted a mixed media piece that depicts her desire to become a dentist. She expressed that she wants others to have a positive experience at the dentist, as well as a sense of pride in their dental health. She currently attends St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin, and is expected to graduate in 2012.

Sara's entry, as shown below, will be posted along with the other winners' and finalists' entries on the company's diplomaframe.com web site at http://www.framemyfuture.com.

She said, "I was never the kid that was afraid of going to the dentist. In fact I was quite the contrary, because I loved the feeling of cleanliness on my teeth when I left. I would always leave with a sense of pride knowing that I had no cavities in my mouth, which meant no fillings. To me my mouth felt so fresh and pretty that I would walk out of the office smiling and showing off my pearly whites to who ever would look. I want other children and adults to experience that same feeling I always had when I left my dentist. That is why I chose to make a scene depicting me working on a patient as a dentist. It is my goal to get a degree in biology and then go onto dental school. Who knows in the future I could be your dentist, just look for the red nail polish beneath the gloves. Open wide."

Establishing this scholarship contest has enabled CHC to give back to students interested in pursuing their dreams of a college education. The "Frame My Future" Scholarship awarded five winners, each with a $1,000 scholarship. In January, CHC also added a bonus for the entry receiving the most votes. The Grand Prize Winner's college/university for the 2009-10 school year will receive a matching $1,000 donation for the school's scholarship endowment fund, in their name!

The "Frame My Future" Scholarship Contest is the first of CHC's ongoing annual scholarship program awarding a Grand Prize winner and their college or university $1,000 each, and four Winners $1,000 scholarships. The contest was established to give back to students interested in pursuing their dreams of a college education. Students were asked to submit a "creation" on an 8.5" x 11" piece of paper that expresses what they hope to achieve in their personal and professional life after college. The space was used to create a photograph, essay, collage, drawing, painting, or other creative pieces. The entry needed to communicate: This is how I "Frame My Future." Submissions were accepted from September 2008 through March 2009.

Students in college now and those who are college bound in 2010 are encouraged to view the winners' and finalists' entries on the CHC web site, http://www.diplomaframe.com and to consider submitting an entry in next year's contest, which begins in the fall of 2009.
