International Activities
Enjoy baklava while watching and participating in a
wide range of live performances on the patio of the F.K. Bemis
International Center.
10 - 10:45 a.m. Nia African and African-American Drummers and Dancers The
group, founded in 2002, promotes an appreciation of diversity through
the practice and performance of African- style dancing and drumming.
11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Frogwater An Irish/Celtic acoustic musical group from Milwaukee renowned for their musical virtuosity and exuberant live performances.
1 - 2:30 p.m. The Newtonburg Brass Band A
light-hearted recreation of an early 1900’s small-town brass band,
featuring marches, light classics, early Dixieland and a large
repertoire of American, German and Czech polka and waltz music.
3 - 3:45 p.m. Geetha Bhat Classical Indian Singer
4 - 5 p.m. Heritage Academy of Irish Dance High-energy Irish step dancing.
5 - 6 p.m. Duck Creek Crossing Singers and Dancers Native
American dancers and drummers. The drum beat has the same rhythm as a
heartbeat. It’s hypnotic, entrancing and irresistible. |
