James Benton is Associate Professor of Sociology and the Associate Dean of Social Science at St. Norbert College.
His scholarship is concerned primarily with understanding and applying the classical theorists in sociology, particularly Marx, Max Weber and Emile Durkheim. His main research agenda the critical study of American individualism and the liberal imagination as it impacts academic, political and popular culture. |
