Professional profile
I have been interested in the studying native peoples of the Andes since I was sixteen, when I lived in Peru for a year.
My current research now focuses on the prehistory of the Chanka, an indigenous group in the central Andes. Specifically, our study compares the impact of both Inca and Spanish colonialism on the Chanka.
Other interests include ethnopoetics, South American ethnohistory and the development of indigenous writing systems. |
