Thomas Faase

Professional profile
Tom Faase is an associate professor of sociology at St. Norbert College. Before that, he is a spouse and dad and likes to blend family with the courses he teaches.

His first interest is in the role that values play in sustaining or changing society. He specializes in marriage, family, work and human development. Akin to values and teaching, Tom wants to expose students to models of worthy, successful and happy adulthood.

He asks of his students that they will act, own their actions, originate values by who they are and have impact in the world around them. He encourages learning and dislikes school to the extent that it gets in the way of learning.
