The Rev. Dr. Rowland De Peaux, O.Praem., a member of the Norbertine Order of Catholic clergy, has spent the better part of his life in service as an educator.
After graduating from St. Norbert College in 1948, Fr. De Peaux spent more than 10 years as a high school educator at St. Norbert High School (De Pere, WI), Southeast Catholic High School (Philadelphia, PA) and later Premontre High School (Green Bay, WI) before returning to the University of Wisconsin-Madison to pursue his graduate and doctoral degrees in French and Spanish Studies. Fr. De Peaux also studied at Sorbonne University in Paris, France.
Fr. De Peaux retired as a French and Spanish professor at St. Norbert College in 1991. His career included 26 years as the director of the language laboratory on the campus.
Currently, Fr. De Peaux serves as Chaplain of the St. Norbert College Alumni Association and continues his work as a member of the Norbertine community of St. Norbert Abbey in De Pere, WI.
