Professor of Economics
Keith Sherony is a Professor of Economics at St. Norbert College. During his thirty-plus years in academia, Professor Sherony has taught various economics courses, including the Economics of Sports, and business research methods. His published scholarship has focused on Major League Baseball and considered topics including game attendance, team revenue and finance, payroll taxes and player development. Professor Sherony has been a regular contributor to the NINE Spring Training Conference on the Historical and Sociological Impact of Baseball, presenting papers on subjects including compression of player abilities, players’ salary distribution, performance enhancing drugs, and game scheduling.
Professor Sherony earned degrees in economics at Rosary College, River Forest, Ill. (B.A., 1974), Southern Illinois University-Carbondale (M.A., 1975), and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (Ph.D., 1982).
