Purpose
Currently, the ladies categorized under this organization are
classified as T.I.A.R.A.S. This is an interest group that branches
off of MSU. In order to become an MSU member, one must
complete the T.I.A.R.A. process. Togetherness, Independence,
Achievement, Respect, and Academics is what the ladies in this
process must embrace and achieve before becoming an official
member of Mu Sigma Upsilon.

Purpose
"Mujeres Siempre Unidas"

Once the ladies in the T.I.A.R.A. process become members of
MSU, their hopes is to share their culture through their diverse
sisterhood and continuing efforts to educate society and most
importantly, the strength one can find in sisterhood and family.
MSU sisters come from almost every cultural background, cultural
mix, and walk of life. They believe in unity among all women and
recognize that diversity is not limited to ethnicity.

The sisters of MSU will eventually achieve a diverse sisterhood
with respect to not only race, but religious heritage, geographic
origin, sexual orientation, socioeconomic class, nationality, political
ideology, and even choice of major and career.

Ultimately, multiculturalism is the belief that there is inherent value
in discovering, understanding, and appreciating all the ways in
which people are different from each other. It is for this reason
that the sophisticated ladies of Mu Sigma Upsilon differentiate
themselves in name and purpose from other Greek organizations
with the word "Multicultural."

As an interest group on St. Norbert College Campus, we embrace
and encourage Multicultural Awareness. We strive to help explain
and influence the definition of Multiculturalism on campus and
throughout the community.
