USFQ is a private, liberal arts college located in Cumbayá, a sunny, quiet valley located 20 minutes from the city center, Quito, a vibrant capital city with a population of 1.44 million. Ecuador is an unspoiled paradise with a great diversity of landscapes from snow capped mountains to pristine beaches.
Program:
*Students enroll in 5 classes at USFQ, which has 2,800 students.
*Coursework mostly in Spanish although there are some courses in English.
*Wide variety of courses: Spanish language and culture, Art, Communications, Environmental Studies,
Education, Psychology, Business, Political Science; History, Music, Natural Sciences and more
*Students live with host family

Fall: August 22 - December 20, 2009
Spring: January 2 - May 16, 2010
GPA Requirement: 2.75 plus equivalent of 4 semesters of college-level Spanish (through 204)
