Where?
- SNC Study Abroad offers 75+ programs in 38 countries on 6 continents.
- Study in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin American, the Middle East, and Oceania.
Who?
- SNC Study Abroad offers programs suited to students in nearly every field of study.
- The GPA requirement is a 2.5 cumulative GPA. Some programs require up to a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- You do not need to speak a foreign language to study abroad:
- English-speaking countries: Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, the United Kingdom ...
- English-speaking programs: Czech Republic, Egypt, Italy, the Netherlands, South Africa ...
- Foreign language programs: France, Ecuador, Germany, Japan, Spain ...
- Students on academic or disciplinary probation cannot participate.
When? How Long?
- Second semester sophomores through second semester seniors may study abroad.
- SNC Study Abroad only offers semester-long programs. At the moment, we do not advise for short-term or summer programs.
How much?
- SNC Study Abroad costs about the same as a semester in residence at St. Norbert College.
- Students are charged SNC tuition, which allows them to apply all financial aid to one semester of off-campus study.
- Room and board are charged at the SNC rate only if they are included in the program.
- Additional costs include: Administrative fee ($400), airfare, passport, visa, and personal expenses.
Academics
- Students have the opportunity to fulfill requirements for their major(s), minor(s), and/or the General Education Program.
- Generally, 15 or 16 credits are taken abroad, which is the equivalent of four SNC courses.
- Transfer credit is awarded if students earn a "C" or better. Grades are not calculated into a student's GPA.
