Students must have a minimum cumulative gpa of 2.5 in order to be eligible to study abroad, although some program sites have a gpa requirement of 2.75 or higher. In addition, students may not be on disciplinary probation. Second semester sophomores through second semester seniors are eligible to apply.

All students must attend a study abroad information session at St. Norbert College prior to making an appointment with a study abroad advisor. Information sessions are held several times each semester. Application requirements and forms vary depending on the program. Be sure to allow enough time to complete all forms prior to the deadline.

 Application Deadlines

• October 1: Spring study abroad
• March 1: Fall study abroad

Financial Aid

Financial Aid may be used for only one semester of off-campus study on non-exchange programs. The Washington Semester is considered an off-campus program and thus applies to this policy. Students can use their financial aid for two semesters of off-campus study if one of the semesters is on an SNC Exchange program (see below).

Tuition Waiver

Tuition waiver students may use their waiver on SNC Exchange programs only (see below). In addition, tuition waiver students must attend SNC for a minimum of two consecutive semesters in order to be able to use their tution waiver benefit abroad. Tuition waiver students may choose to study on a non-exchange program but then must pay all program costs for that semester, including tuition.
