Students are fully immersed in German language and culture while studying with our exchange partner Westfalische Wilhelms University. Students are assisted by former German FLTAs who act as site coordinators to help SNC student negotiate the German university system and to introduce them to German culture.
*Students take an intensive pre-sessional German class during their first month, after which they enroll in 4 university classes.
*Accommodations: A variety of single residence halls are available and can be booked online. Students live with Germans and international students. Meals are not provided but students have access to kitchen facilities and reasonably priced student restaurants.
*Dates: Due to the German academic calendar, this program is available only in the spring, starting March 1st and ending in late July. Students who wish to attend in the fall begin in must stay through the Christmas holidays and well into February to complete their courses.
*Requirements: Students must be nominated by Dr. Humphrey for this program. Students must be German majors with a 3.0 cumulative gpa and a 3.5 in German.
