Florence University of the Arts
Program:
- Florence University of the Arts is located in the historic center of Florence and is within walking distance of such landmarks as the Uffizi Gallery, the Palazzo Vecchio and the Accademia, which, among the many museums and churches in Florence, showcase the most extensive and famous collection of Italian Renaissance works found in the world. FUA is a study abroad program - your classmates will all be from U.S. colleges and universities.
- GPA Requirement: 2.8 cumulative
- SNC students typically enroll in five courses for a total of 15 credits. FUA offers a wide variety of courses to satisfy requirements for many SNC majors and minors. General Education credit is also available (GS 10, GS 11, upper GS 1 and several lower biennium GS courses). No previous knowledge of Italian is necessary. Courses are taught in English with the exception of a mandatory Italian language class.
- Accommodations: double rooms in fully-furnished apartments throughout Florence within walking distance of FUA (5 to 20 minutes depending upon location). No meal plan is available but each apartment has a fully-equipped kitchen.
