How to get started:
If you would like to study abroad in the future (Spring 2009 and beyond), what should you do next?
APPLY FOR A PASSPORT IMMEDIATELY, IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING STUDYING ABROAD IN SPRING 2009.
Passport information.
1. If you have not already done so, attend a general information or country/region specific session or stop in for open office hours in Bemis 323 every Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. Only after attending an information session will you be able to sign up for an appointment with a study abroad advisor.
- General information sessions are held at the beginning of every semester and all dates will be posted on the website.
- Open office hours are drop-in, there is no appointment necessary. You can also schedule individual appointments with
Casey Wopat.
2. Consult links on this website for further information on:
programs,
policies,
pre-approved courses, and
links of interest. You should familiarize yourself with the program(s) in which you are interested, and begin to research courses to satisfy your major/minor requirements and general education requirements. Keep in mind that most program sites offer GS10 and GS11.
3. Print off and fill out the
Study Abroad Advising Form to bring with you to your advising session.
4. Set up a 1:1 meeting with the appropriate advisor:

- Africa: all countries
- Asia: Japan, Philippines
- Europe: Austria, France, Germany, Hungary, Spain
- Latin America: Chile, Ecuador, Mexico
- Middle East: Israel, Egypt

Meet with
Joyce Tullbane if you want information on the following countries:
- Europe: England, Ireland, The Netherlands, Wales
- Oceania: Australia, New Zealand
