Student Wisconsin Education Association
The Student Wisconsin Education Association (SWEA) is a student-run group that addresses the needs of future teachers on campus. There are several ways we make this possible:
- We hold meetings with speakers that present on topics that our members find important, such as a first year teacher panel, a principal panel and how to plan the perfect field trip.
- We go to local conferences with other Education Association chapters from around the state.
- We plan volunteer activities in the community for our members to attend such as OutReach to Teach and Make a Difference Day.
- By joining, our members receive educational journals and other teaching resources.
- Being future educators, we find ways to make all these activities fun!
