April 23, 2009 Emergency Printing Procedures As a response to the problems that occurred this week around printing, Information Technology and the Copy Center have developed an emergency print procedure that will be deployed in the unlikely event of a recurrence of this problem or another like it. In the event where our networked print server becomes inoperative or unreliable for a period of time, immediate print needs that cannot wait for restoration of service may be sent to the Copy Center via e-mail for printing. Roughly 1-hour turnaround would be expected for this service. We will alert the campus of the situation, anticipated time frame, and how to submit emergency print requests.
