October 29, 2009 Facebook password-reset spam Virus hunters are raising the alarm for a large-scale spam attack that uses fake Facebook password-reset messages to trick PC users into downloading a dangerous piece of malware. While our antivirus protection will make this particular spam unlikely to have a significant impact on campus, we feel that the widespread use of Facebook in our College community warrants making you aware of this attack. Please protect your computer against infection by not responding to the false Facebook password reset message.
