System maintenance & backup times
Standard, non-emergency maintenance (upgrades, patches, etc.) of College computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure equipment takes place during the following time periods:
- Every day 2:00 a.m. - 5:00 a.m.
- Wednesdays 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (when external vendors or contractors are involved)
- Saturdays 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (when external vendors or contractors are involved)
These scheduled windows allow ongoing maintenance to be performed outside of normal operating hours while keeping service interruptions to a minimum.
There will be occasions when scheduled maintenance must occur or extend outside of these standard times, particularly when the necessary work will take longer than four hours. On such occasions, the maintenance period will be scheduled and announced to the community in advance.
