Setting up your computer: Macintosh

The computer setup & registration process takes place once you bring your computer to campus. Instructions will be provided on the Computer Setup & Registration page, which you should see the first time you open your web browser after connecting to the network jack/hub in your room (if not, go to http://netreg.snc.edu/).

There are a few things you can do to prepare your computer before you come to campus:

• If you haven't already, activate your account.
• Install all Mac OS updates.
• Change your computer's network/Internet settings (don't do this until just before you come to campus; once you do, your current Internet connection may not work)
• Review the Residence Hall Networking Terms and Conditions, Computing and Networking Appropriate Use Policy, and File Sharing guidelines. You must adhere to all of these policies, or you will be subject to losing your network connection privileges.
