There are two types of internships available for St. Norbert College students.

The first is an in-house internship in which a student will assist professors with day to day operations of producing shows in various activities. These activities include but are not limited to administrative tasks, publicity and marketing, technical production and front of house duties. Currently, there is one internship available per semester in the normal school year. These internships are paid positions and do not count toward course credit.

The second type of internship available is through an outside theatre company that offers on-site internships. These types of internships tend to be during the summer months and are entry level positions in companies that require long hours and varied activities. The student who is accepted into such a program can apply to one of the theatre faculty to take this as a course credit. This must be set up in advance and the student is responsible for any and all additional assignments given to them by the faculty member along with their normal duties from the participating theatre company.

We encourage both types of experience for our students.
