Originally named Dorm III and built in 1966, the hall was renamed in memory of Mrs. Gertrude (James) Bergstrom, who died in 1973 and had been a generous contributor to the College over the years. Bergstrom is a coed hall and houses 80 first-year students. The three-story residence hall is fully carpeted and is the only hall with central lounges. These central lounges are great for meeting, socializing and Freshman Seminar discussions, a special living-learning program. Each room is furnished with two beds, bookshelves, closets, dressers, desks, chairs, medicine cabinet, curtains, mirror, and a bulletin board.
