TRIPS Mission and Vision Statements 

Mission Statement: The St. Norbert College TRIPS program supports and develops students to engage their values, convictions, and religious beliefs in addressing the shared needs of our communities.

Vision Statement:  We envision a community that deeply considers and regularly chooses the common good.

TRIPS History
SNC has offered service trips since the 1970's.  In 1999, a group of dedicated and experienced trip participants laid down the groundwork (see mission and goals) for the current T.R.I.P.S. program coordinated by Campus Ministry and the Sturzl Center for Community Service and Learning.  Historically, various campus organizations, offices, and departments such as Habitat for Humanity, Sturzl Center for Community Service and Learning, Peace and Justice Center, Faith, Learning & Vocation, and the Education Department, have joined together under the TRIPS umbrella to offer many different service trips throughout the year.

Each trip focuses on a specific social issue in an environment where participants interact with people from a variety of economic, faith, and cultural backgrounds.  It is through the interactions with fellow trip participants, people from different work sites, and often during unexpected and unplanned moments, that students have their most meaningful and memorable experiences.
