| Vocation Initiative Grants
The Program of Faith, Learning and Vocation has funds available to support new initiatives aimed at helping members of the college community explore vocation and related topics. Applicants must have participated in one of FLV’s study groups on vocation. Funds are available as resources allow.
Examples of categories eligible for funding: Projects and activities eligible for funding include, but are not limited to the following: discussion sessions or seminars for students, sponsoring faculty discussion sessions and seminars; sponsoring retreats.
Examples of categories not eligible for funding: Ordinarily, the following categories are not eligible for funding: stipends, support for sabbaticals and leaves of absence, and support for work toward advanced degrees.
Guidelines for awarding grants:
Proposals will be judged on the basis of their potential for enhancing your audience’s understanding and appreciation of vocation.
Individual requests will generally not exceed $500.00. Further, each grant recipient is limited to one award per fiscal year.
Application procedure:
All proposals should be submitted electronically to the Program of Faith, Learning and Vocation using the application form provided.
The Program of Faith, Learning and Vocation forwards all applications to the funding committee. The committee attempts to process each application within two (2) weeks of the submission date.
Proposals may be submitted at any time during the year.
Project Report/Disbursements:
Within two weeks of your activity, you must submit a written report detailing how the experience enhanced your audience’s understanding of vocation. Approved expenses can be direct billed to the program (contact DeEtte Radant at ext. 3155) or reimbursed with original receipts. Please submit all original receipts within two weeks. All logistics are the responsibility of the Grantee.
