Exploring Ministry

The Program of Faith, Learning & Vocation supports those men and women who are exploring professional ministry as their life’s calling.

Ministry formation group
Enhance your exploration of ministry through reading, reflection, and the opportunity to dialogue with experienced ministers as well as peers considering ministry as a career path. Students who participate in the ministry formation group are eligible to earn a scholarship.

The ministry formation group is a great place to bring your ideas, and to explore questions such as:

  • How do I know if I’m called to ministry?
  • What are the challenges of ministry today?
  • What gifts and knowledge does ministry require?
  • How am I enriched by the ministry I do?
  • What does it mean if ministry is my profession?

Master of Theological Studies formation opportunities
Our program collaborates with the Master of Theological Studies Program to offer formation opportunities to our students engaged in graduate work.

The spring 2009 event was an evening with Bishop Morneau titled,  "Eucharist: Nourishing Mind, Body, and Soul.

Bishop Morneau's presentation explained how the gift of the Eucharist addresses the five hungers of the human heart: the hungers for meaning, commitment, depth, integration, and intimacy. Jesus came (& comes in the Eucharist) to give us the fullness of life.
