Models of Excellence in Vocation Mentoring November 11-13, 2010
St. Norbert College’s Program of Faith, Learning & Vocation coordinated this opportunity to explore effective ways to
mentor students from a vocation perspective. This regional gathering
aimed to bring together NetVUE colleges and universities from the Midwest, to
present models of excellence and encourage regional dialogue. Through panel presentations,
workshops and informal dialogue participants explored questions such
as:
• How can we best mentor from a vocation perspective? •
What are the ethical considerations in mentoring from a vocation
perspective? • How do we gain mentoring allies among the faculty
and staff? • How do we infuse vocation into the broader campus
culture? • How do we know if we succeeded?
