Welcome to the Women's Center!
The St. Norbert College Women's Center is a collective voice for those who share a commitment to issues concerning women. The Center provides resources and educational programs to the college and local community, and seeks to empower women.
Since its first full year of service in 1996, the center has been available as a vital educational resource within the College community. Throughout the academic year, the Women's Center provides programs designed to address issues of gender inequality within an interactive, open learning environment, as well as programs and activities promoting the advocacy, support and empowerment of women. One of our featured programs held each spring, the
Phenomenal Woman Conference, allows women the unique opportunity to participate in interactive sessions and hear from insightful speakers.
It is our hope that through our enthusiastic staff, unique programming and facilities, we may meet our goal to advocate, support and empower women within the St. Norbert College community. The center exists as both an educational resource to men and women and as a catalyst for change.
Have something to say? The Joan P. Schaupp Women's Center wants your creative work!
The Women's Center will be producing a performance piece dedicated to the issue of body image, society and culture for both men and women, written by the students, faculty, and staff of SNC. Work should be in the theatrical monologue or dialogue format. We will be accepting submissions through Sunday, December 7th. For more information or to submit work, contact emily.schwanke@snc.edu.
