About Joan P. Schaupp
It is due to the generosity of this phenomenal woman that the St. Norbert College Women's Center was established in September 1995, and was able to begin its work in the community the following year. Joan's charitable vision has consistently included the Women's Center over the years, allowing us to continue working toward the fulfillment of our mission to educate, support, and empower women.
Joan is active in her family business and was the former women's editor at the Green Bay Press Gazette. She is the original founder and president of the Mann Institute, which works to benefit women's issues. She has also published several articles and books, including:
- “Jesus was a Teenager” (Franciscan Publishers, 1972)
- “Woman: Image of the Holy Spirit” (Dimension Books, 1975; Catholic Scholars Press, 1996)
- “Elohim: A Search of Human Fulfillment” (Catholic Scholars Press, 1995)
Thanks to Joan's generosity, the Women's Center has been available as an important educational resource to the St. Norbert College community, and will continue to fulfill its mission to educate, support, and empower all women.
